The day finally came, I’m “In the 30s” now. I didn’t count 30. Hopefully this means even cheaper car insurance and the like. Anyway, feel free to post cool Mazdas if you’d like!

Can confirm! I saw some when I was in Europe for work. Between this, the 3 door mazda 2s and the 3 door 128i I was so envious.

I didn’t cheat on you. I don’t count that one time.

Happy birthday! Here’s a Mazda I hadn’t heard before that apparently is also 31 years old this year. Mazda Etudé. It was apparently sort of personal luxury 323 hatch in slightly bigger body.

that’s pretty savage. I meant it more like being 30 is different than being in your 30s.

The BF Etude is one of my favorite obscure Mazdas that is of the same vintage as me! Thank You!

I have a home and I’m staying put! Stuff used to cost less and kids used to have more respect for their elders!

Wait, what?? Can you point me where to find a build thread on this?

Happy birthday mate.
A couple of Autotrader UK finds.

Awesome! I love the obscure (to me) non-U.S. models.

Not a (custom) build. Mazda makes them for sale in Puerto Rico. Since it’s a US territory, the cars must comply with federal regulations - n
otice the Monroney window sticker on the driver-side
rear window.

They are both JDM imports but surprisingly the RX-7 is the same price as a regular RX-7 at £8,000.
![]() 08/27/2018 at 15:55 |

That’s way cheaper than they go for imported here.

I remember reading this article a while back. I might actually try and get one next year. I have a few contacts who live or have family in PR. Hell I might even try bribing chuck the sales guy at my local Mazda dealer to help me.

There’s a 1995 and a 1999 for about £20,000.
But I’m surprised by the special edition being so low compared to the others.

Yes, it was very good. A long drive down and back, but a beautiful area and great roads.
